Lindsay Lohan Playboy cover leaks

Lindsay Lohan's big Playboy cover reveal has been thwarted. The sexy cover shot of the "Mean Girls" actress has leaked online.

The cover image appears on the Web site TheInsider.com, showing Lohan straddling a red plastic chair shaped to look like the iconic Playboy bunny. While the actress wears nothing but a pair of black heels, the chair covers her breasts and nether regions. The actress' hands play with her long blonde hair. The scene unfolds in front of a bright red curtain.

Lohan had intended to show the cover for the first time on Dec. 15, during an appearance on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," her first television interview since her latest legal troubles for violating the terms of her probation. The January/February double issue will go on sale in late December.

Lohan posed for the magazine in October, but Playboy head honcho Hugh Hefner was not completely satisfied with the original images. Lohan was brought in for a reshoot with a "new theme." In the end, Hefner was very pleased.

"It's a classic tribute, inspired by the original Tom Kelley nude pictorial of Marilyn Monroe. [It's] classy, very classy," Hefner explained. "It turned out very well. I would say that I had some reservations early on, but after a couple of false steps, everybody came on board and it's going to be very exciting."

While Lohan was spotted outside Playboy mansion in late October, it was her mom Dina Lohan who revealed to the press that her daughter intended to pose for the men's magazine.

"It will be tastefully done," Dina Lohan squealed to The Insider. "She's been working in front of the camera with Ford Models since she was a little girl so she kinda knows how to work that ... She and Mr. Hefner will decide [on the cover]. She'll pick five covers, and he'll pick the one he wants."

Lohan was reportedly paid $1 million for stripping down for the magazine.

Hefner says he hopes that, like it was for actresses Drew Barrymore and Shannen Doherty, appearing in Playboy will be a turning point in Lohan rebuilding her career.

"One hopes that this will be a change in direction for her," he said.
